Directions for Item Pick Up at Washington Junior High School
Dear Washington Junior High Families:
We hope this message finds you and your family well. Washington Junior High School has
been planning and orchestrating a school-wide locker clean-out. All personal items have been
collected from lockers (including PE lockers) and staged in plastic bags with student names.
Bags are alphabetical by the Advisory teacher for efficient drive-thru pick up. We will be ready to
return these personal items to you on May 11th and 12th.
We are asking that each family write their name on a large sheet of paper with the student’s
name(s) and Advisory teacher so that as you pull to the front of the pick up line, staff has
non-verbal communication regarding what materials you are here to pick up. For pick up
purposes, we will utilize 34th Street by the cafeteria. Please pull all the way to the front of the
cafeteria. We ask that any library books or other school property are returned when you arrive to
pick up your student’s bag of personal items. Items will be exchanged without contact, as we
want to maintain social distancing throughout the process. Again, please arrive with paper
communication that you can hold to your window to communicate what items you are there to
pick up. We want to avoid communications which require staff to be closer than is
recommended. We do ask that all drivers and passengers remain in vehicles the entire time you
are here for safety purposes.
