RIMSD#41 has partnered with Fresh Films production company to offer a virtual film camp to students this summer! Students will get to participate with other students from around the country! The camp is for students in 7th-grade through 12th-grade students only. Please note the camp is not for incoming 7th-grade students but for students who were in 7th grade for the 2019-2020 school year. Availability is on a first come first serve basis so don't wait to register!
Please keep in mind when registering, students must have taken Project 1 to take Project 2.
Overview: Two 2-week modules give students the chance to add three pieces of content to their portfolio while building increased skills in documentary and narrative film production.
Project 1: Census 2020 PSA (June 29-July 10 except July 3rd) Students create and produce a :30-second Television PSA to support the Census 2020 campaign. Students will each film and edit, but will work together for pre-production and distribution.
Project 2: Mini Movie (July 13-24) Students learn narrative filmmaking in a tightly walled environment where they have to rely on telling a short story with visual filmmaking.
