On May 27, Washing Jr. High School staff dedicated a plaque honoring former WJHS teacher Liz Wayne.

 

The plaque was placed in front of room 202 where Liz taught special education for many years.

 

WJHS staff was joined by Liz's family for the dedication. The plaque says "In honor and memory of Liz Wayne who brought life, love, and hope to the students of RM. 202."

 

Liz was with the RIMSD#41 for 22 years. Back in 2018-2019 she was nominated for the 2018-2019 national LifeChanger of the Year award and recognized and was listed in the top 35 out of more than 800 nominations.
